What’s Included

Complete Protection, Start to Finish

Most businesses do not find out their backup does not work until they need it. We make sure yours works — and we prove it.

Server & Endpoint Backup

Automated, encrypted backups of your servers, workstations, and critical data — on-site and offsite — every single day.

Microsoft 365 Backup

Microsoft does not back up your email, Teams, or SharePoint data. We do — with 30-day retention and point-in-time restore.

Cloud & Offsite Storage

The 3-2-1 rule: 3 copies, 2 media types, 1 offsite. Your data lives in multiple locations so no single failure takes everything.

Ransomware Protection

Immutable, air-gapped backups that ransomware cannot encrypt or delete — your last line of defense when everything else fails.

Disaster Recovery Planning

A written, tested DR plan for your business — so everyone knows exactly what to do when something goes wrong at 2 AM.

Recovery Testing

Quarterly restore drills that prove your backups actually work. No more guessing — we test and document everything.

How It Works

Built to Survive the Worst

We follow the industry-standard 3-2-1 backup rule and layer on ransomware protection and tested recovery plans on top.

RTO — Recovery Time Objective
<1 Hour
The maximum time your business is down before systems are restored. We target under 1 hour for critical systems.
RPO — Recovery Point Objective
<4 Hours
The maximum data loss measured in time. With hourly snapshots, you lose at most a few hours of data — never a full day.
01

Backup Assessment

We audit what you have, what is missing, and what would happen if your biggest server disappeared today.

02

Deploy & Configure

We set up automated backups, offsite replication, and immutable cloud copies — all encrypted end-to-end.

03

Monitor & Alert

Every backup is verified and monitored 24/7. If something fails to back up, we know before you do.

04

Test & Report

Quarterly recovery drills with written results — documented proof your backup actually works when it matters.

Why Ranger IT

Backups That Actually Work

A backup that has never been tested is just a guess. We verify, monitor, and test your recovery so when disaster strikes, you are not finding out for the first time whether it works.

Immutable Backups
Ransomware cannot touch our cloud copies. Air-gapped, read-only storage that attackers cannot reach.
Proven Recovery
Quarterly tested restores with documentation — not just set-it-and-forget-it backup software.
Flat-Rate Pricing
No per-GB overages, no surprise restore fees. One monthly price covers everything.
Fast Response When It Matters
When disaster strikes, we respond immediately — not after a support ticket queue.
FAQ

Common Questions

Answers to what businesses ask us most about backup and disaster recovery.

Does Microsoft 365 back up my data automatically?+
No. Microsoft’s responsibility ends at keeping their service running. Protecting your actual data — email, Teams messages, SharePoint files, OneDrive — is your responsibility. Microsoft’s own terms say as much. We back up all of it with 30-day retention and point-in-time restore.
How quickly can you restore my data after an incident?+
For critical systems, we target under 1 hour for recovery time. Individual files can be restored in minutes. The exact time depends on the volume of data and type of failure — we document your specific RTO and RPO targets during the assessment.
What is the difference between backup and disaster recovery?+
Backup is the copy of your data. Disaster recovery is the plan and process for getting your business back up and running after a failure. You need both — a backup without a tested recovery plan is just data sitting somewhere you hope you can access in a crisis.
Will ransomware be able to encrypt or delete my backups?+
Not with our setup. We use immutable, air-gapped cloud storage — meaning the backup copies are read-only and completely isolated from your network. Even if ransomware takes over every machine on your network, it cannot reach these copies.
How do I know my backups are actually working?+
We monitor every backup job daily and alert you if anything fails. Beyond that, we run quarterly recovery drills — we actually restore data from your backups and document the results. You get written proof that your backup works, not just a green light on a dashboard.
