Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365, Actually Managed

Most businesses buy Microsoft 365 licenses and assume they are done. Licenses are not a configuration, and they are not a backup. We set the tenant up properly, secure the identities, back up the data Microsoft does not, and support the people using it.

Buying Licenses Is Not the Same as Being Set Up

Microsoft sells you a subscription. What it does not sell you is a secure configuration, a backup, or anyone to call when it misbehaves. Those are the three places businesses get caught.

Default Settings Are Not Secure Settings

A brand new tenant will happily let a compromised password log in from anywhere in the world. Conditional access, MFA, and legacy authentication all have to be deliberately configured.

Microsoft Does Not Back Up Your Data

This surprises people every time. Microsoft guarantees the service, not your content. Deleted mail, wiped SharePoint libraries, and ransomware-encrypted OneDrive are your problem after the retention window closes.

Nobody Owns the Offboarding

Ex-employees keep mailbox access, forwarding rules outlive the person who set them, and licenses quietly bill for accounts nobody has used in a year.

What We Manage

The Whole Tenant, Not Just the Bill

Identity, security, data protection, and the day-to-day support your staff actually calls about — managed as one service.

Exchange & Email

Mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, aliases, and mail flow rules — plus the anti-spoofing records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) most tenants never finish setting up.

Identity & Access

MFA enforced across the board, conditional access policies, legacy authentication switched off, and admin accounts separated from daily-driver accounts.

Third-Party Backup

Independent backup of mail, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams with real retention — so a deletion, a departure, or ransomware is recoverable rather than a story about what used to be there.

SharePoint & OneDrive

File structure that makes sense, permissions that match how your business actually works, and sharing settings that do not quietly publish documents to the open internet.

Teams

Team and channel structure, guest access rules, meeting policies, and the phone integration if you want your calling in the same place as everything else.

Onboarding & Offboarding

A repeatable process for new hires and departures — accounts created with the right access, and shut down completely on the last day, with licenses reclaimed.

Migrations

Moving to Microsoft 365 Without Losing Mail

Whether you are coming from Google Workspace, an old Exchange server in a closet, or a different provider’s tenant, the goal is the same: staff arrive on Monday and everything is where they left it.

  • Mail, calendars, and contacts migrated with history intact — not just new mail going forward
  • Files moved into SharePoint and OneDrive with a structure decided in advance, instead of dumping a shared drive into the cloud as-is
  • Cutover scheduled around your business, with the old system kept available until the new one is proven
  • Staff walked through what changed on their end, so the help desk is not buried on day one
FAQ

Common Questions About Microsoft 365

What business owners ask us before handing over the tenant.

Does Microsoft not already back up our data?+
No, and this is the most common and most expensive misunderstanding about Microsoft 365. Microsoft operates the service and guarantees its availability — that is what their agreement covers. Your content is your responsibility. There are limited retention windows for deleted items, but once those pass, the data is gone. Ransomware that encrypts files synced to OneDrive syncs the encryption too. We run independent third-party backup for exactly this reason.
We already have Microsoft 365. Can you just take it over?+
Yes, and that is most of what we do here. We start with a review of the existing tenant — licensing, security settings, mail flow, sharing, and who has admin rights — then fix what needs fixing and take over ongoing management. You do not have to migrate anything to change who supports it.
Can you help us pick the right licenses?+
Yes, and it usually saves money. Most tenants we inherit have a mix of the wrong plans, licenses assigned to people who left, and add-ons nobody uses. Right-sizing licensing is normally the first thing we look at, because it often funds a good part of the improvements.
Do you support our staff directly, or just the admin side?+
Directly. Your people call or email us about Outlook, Teams, a file they cannot find, or a phone that will not sign in, and we handle it. Managing a tenant nobody can get help with is only half a service.
What about moving from Google Workspace?+
Common request and a well-worn path. Mail, calendars, contacts, and Drive files all move across, with history preserved. The main work is deciding the file structure before the move rather than after, and preparing staff for the parts of the day-to-day that genuinely change.
Is this separate from our managed IT agreement?+
It is part of it. Microsoft 365 is where most businesses keep their email, their files, and their identities, so it is not a side service — it is one of the main things we manage, on the same flat monthly fee.
